Päivi Neuvonen holds the title of Docent in European Law at the University of Helsinki. In the winter 2020/2021, she works with the DFG Graduate School “Dynamische Integrationsordnung” at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. From 2017 to 2020, she was Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki. Previously, she has held postdoctoral positions as Lecturer in Law at the University of Turku; Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Policy Research Centre on Equality Policies and the Institute for Constitutional Law at KU Leuven; and Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Center for European Studies, the Edinburgh Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, the Oxford Institute of European and Comparative law, and the Centre for European Law and Internationalisation at the University of Leicester. Her research and teaching interests include European Union law, equality law, European human rights law, legal theory, and philosophy of transnational law.
